Garden Project
Additional Steps:
In the future I might like to add more varieties of sage and lavender to our garden, as well as stepping stones to make a path connecting multiple other groups' gardens to ours and to the path in front of the STEM Solar Studio. I would also like to grow our plants into larger bushes that take up most of the right side (towards the fence) of our plot, whether that means growing them for a while or adding more plants to fill up space.
When our garden becomes more established and plants get bigger and livelier, next spring when many of them begin to bloom and fruit, many animals will be attracted to the space as a whole. We can use this as an opportunity to teach kids from the elementary schools about pollinators, like all different types of bees, flies, butterflies, beetles, birds, etc. We can also teach them about symbiotic relationships among these organisms and demonstrate it with actual evidence - all of the animals that will be attracted to the plants. So really, as long as our garden prevails, it may be used as an ecological learning tool
